Reporting to the Manager, People Strategy & Business Partner the People Strategy & Business Partner Specialist will support in the delivery of day – to – day HR operations with a focus on coordination and system administration. This position will serve as a solid foundation for the HR team to provide necessary support to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

HRIS:

Ensure consistent global hiring, change and termination processing in Workday HRIS
Monitor business process completion
Monitor and respond to employee and people leader calls and questions
Possess excellent time management skills, decision & problem-solving skills, interact with all levels of staff with professionalism, confidentiality, and sensitivity to employee and company information.
Provide excellent customer service, both internally and externally

Business partner:

Execute HR core processes to meet the needs of their assigned clients
Actively contribute to business decisions that contribute to business results
Proactively identify talent issues before they effect the business
Support organizational change
Influence and champion the Company’s culture consistent with EVP and Core Values

HR Operations:

Participate in the execution of HR programs and initiatives (employee engagement, talent performance and development, succession planning objective setting, etc.)
Facilitate the alignment of HR programs with the business objectives
Keep the business informed of HR initiatives and leadership requirements
Prepares term letters and packages, arranges for outplacement services on day of termination
May prepare severance calculations

Employee relations:

Assist leaders with facilitating change management
Guide and counsel leaders with performance management
Consult on issues related to legal and procedural compliance,
Support the recruitment process

Qualifications and Experience

Post-secondary (undergraduate) degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or Organizational Development
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR Analyst, or Coordinator role.
Experience working in both Professional or Manufacturing environments is preferred
Strong collaboration and cross functional skills
Experience with HRIS system implementations with a preference for WorkDay
Demonstrated emotional intelligence and intuitive decision making
Knowledge and experience interpreting relevant Employment Standards, Policies and Collective Agreements
Must exercise considerable judgement and independent action on a variety of matters requiring confidentiality and diplomacy
Strong communication skills (verbal & written) and presentation skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
