Human Resources Manager

As the Human Resources Manager, in conjunction with a team of Human Resources Representatives, you will provide HR leadership, operational support and exceptional partnership to our company by consulting with employees and managers to address root causes of human resource problems and resolve employee relations issues with a systematic approach.

You will play a key role in developing and delivering HR strategies and initiatives that will enhance the success of our business. A successful candidate will have a passion for working with a growing and changing business, will come with a consistent and concise communication style, and serve as a forward thinking leader.

Responsibilities

• Manage the resolution of employee issues including escalation of sensitive or urgent employee relations matters
• Support and develop our unique company culture, people processes and exceptional employees
• Assist in the development of and implementation of the employee handbook, personnel policies and procedures in conjunction with senior management
Compliance and Health and Safety
• Develop and provide Health and Safety training for new hires and health and Safety policy changes
• Ensure company policies are up to date with legislations requirements
• Maintain training records for ISO certification
• Ensure health and safety records are up to date and organized for all health and safety matters
Project Management and Strategic Initiatives
• Assess and diagnose organizational situations, ensuring alignment of business goals with organizational designs and development or recommendation of solutions
• Ad hoc projects as needed
• Facilitate roll-out of Corporate HR initiatives

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in a human resources or people focused role
• At least 2 years of experience in managing and leading a team
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field
• Ability to make timely, effective and principle based decisions
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills in order to make recommendations to effectively resolve issues that is consistent with company policies, practices and government laws
• Ability to build trusting relations and handle sensitive situations and data
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• CHRL designation is strongly preferred
• A positive personality with unquestioned integrity presence and confidence
• Passion for cultivating and maintaining an inclusive culture
• Ability to work effectively in an environment with a high level of ambiguity
