Key Responsibilities:

• Provide HR guidance to the retail client groups on all employee relations matters.
• Provide new employees with a comprehensive onboarding program to enable a smooth transition into with support from the retail experience leaders.
• Understand, interpret and ensure compliance with all Quebec employment legislative requirements including Health & Safety, Employment Standards, Human Rights, including language laws.
• Respond to inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures and programs.
• Administer employee records in HRIS; first point of contact for HRIS inquiries for employees within client group.
• Support health and safety programs to ensure a safe and secure work environment through industry best practices; manage cases of accidents at work and occupational diseases.
• Provide advice on performance management concerns through the fair and consistent application of appropriate disciplinary procedures and/or legal requirements.
• Conduct employee exits for client group, ensuring contractual and legal compliance.

Required Experience:

• A post-secondary education in a related field, coupled with 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Human Resources experience within the retail industry preferred.
• Ongoing professional development within the Human Resources field.
• Bilingual in French and English, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of employment/labour standards, Human Rights legislation in Quebec
• Ability to work autonomously, engaging support and alignment
• Well-versed in a number of HR functional competencies and best practices
• Demonstrated confidence in managing conflict situations and developing solutions in the best interest of the company
• Creativity and demonstrated ability working in a fast paced environment with a high degree of change and ambiguity
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Keen sense of time management and flexibility; ability to multi-task
• A clear and succinct communicator (verbal and written); bilingual in French and English preferred
• Excellent technical ability (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, HRIS)
